Sherringham believes Manchester United should control the situation and not allow Rashford to dictate his transfer this summer.
"United should be in control of the Rashford situation, not Rashford," Sherringham said. "He's still a United player, and that's what happens when you sign a big contract. If he's not happy, he should honour his contract."
Sherringham thinks United can "manipulate" the situation to get the best outcome for the team. "If Rashford came back to United and performed well, everyone would be happy," he said.
Rashford has a strong record with United, scoring 138 goals and registering 79 assists in 426 matches. He could return to the fold if he doesn't find a move away in the coming months.
