The Gunners are said to be interested in signing Kone, and according to reports, they have agreed on a deal with Roma to purchase the midfielder for around £40 million.
Kone has remained tight-lipped about his future when asked about a potential transfer in a recent interview, saying that he is currently focused on the World Cup.
"Honestly, right now I'm only thinking about the World Cup," Kone said. "It's my first major international competition, a tournament I've always dreamed of playing in."
Arsenal's efforts to build a strong team that can compete at a high level are ongoing, and signing Kone could be an important step in that process.
