He scored a goal in the team's victory over Chelsea on Saturday, and expressed his happiness with his current form.
"I just want to enjoy playing football," Fernandes said in an interview after the game. "I enjoy being out on the pitch, even when I'm frustrated."
"That's just me being me," he explained. "I won't change who I am. I know I need to interact with people differently, and I'm working on that."
Fernandes wants to recapture the feeling of playing freely, like he did as a young player.
"I need to feel like the Bruno who played with his cousins on the streets," he said. "That's the same Bruno I am today, I just want to win games and be happy - not just for myself, but for my team, family, and fans."
