The surgery is scheduled to take place in early August, following the Club World Cup. Bellingham has been dealing with this injury for 599 days and has played through the pain, often wearing a protective bandage.

He has expressed his desire to feel fully healthy and free from pain, stating "I want to feel free" in a recent interview.

As a result of the surgery, Bellingham will miss around ten games, including seven La Liga matches, two Champions League games, and at least two matches with the England national team.

He is expected to return to action in mid-October, after the second international break.
