"I have consistently demonstrated my capabilities for England," he said.

"I am still playing at a high level, and I believe that my experience and skills justify my inclusion in the squad."

"Ultimately, it's up to the manager and coaching staff to decide who they think is the best fit for the team," Henderson added.

"If I'm chosen, it's because they believe I can contribute to the team's success, not just because I'm a veteran player."

Henderson also emphasized the importance of sharing his experience and knowledge with younger players.

"It's natural for older players to pass on their wisdom and expertise to those who are new to the team," he said.
