The incident occurred after Marseille's opening day defeat to Rennes, a 1-0 loss. Manager Roberto de Zerbi described the confrontation as a "pub fight". Both Rowe and Rabiot were subsequently placed on the transfer list by Marseille due to their behavior.
Rowe had already secured a new team before Marseille's decision, and Bologna has now confirmed his signing on a four-year deal. The Italian club reportedly paid a fee of £16.8 million for Rowe's services.
Rowe had joined Marseille from Norwich City in August 2024 on a loan deal, which became permanent this summer. During his time at Marseille, he scored three goals in 31 appearances.
