Davila has pleaded guilty to orchestrating a scheme where teammates would receive deliberate yellow cards, resulting in nearly £100,000 in illegal betting payouts.

According to court records, Davila instructed Macarthur FC teammates Clayton Lewis and Kearyn Baccus to receive yellow cards in certain games.

The most notable event occurred in the December 9, 2023, fixture against Sydney FC, during which all three players received yellow cards.
