His goal, which came five minutes before the final whistle, proved to be the decisive moment in the match.
After the 3-2 win at Falmer stadium, Hinshelwood shared his thoughts on his performance, saying: "Coming off the bench, I wanted to make a positive impact and work hard.
"The ball came across and it was in a good position for me to tap it in. There was a moment of uncertainty until the goal was confirmed, but when it was, I felt a huge sense of relief."
Hinshelwood also spoke about coming on the field with his cousin Harry Howell, saying: "It was a lovely moment to share with my cousin. We've been working together since we were kids.
"We've been playing together since we were young, kicking balls around. So, to come on together and for him to make a great run to create space for me, I'm grateful."
