Barcelona is currently paying 1.5 billion euros for the stadium's reconstruction, which has faced various setbacks. The city council previously denied the club's request to return to Camp Nou due to safety concerns, citing a capacity of 105,000 spectators when the stadium is completed.

As a result, Barcelona will host their next La Liga game against Girona at the Olympic Stadium on October 18th. Their next Champions League match against Olympiakos will also take place there on October 21st, followed by home games against Elche on November 2nd and Athletic Bilbao on November 23rd.
