Swinkels joins Exeter after spending the second half of last season on loan at Bristol Rovers, where he played 18 matches and scored two goals.

Exeter City's manager, Gary Caldwell, expressed his enthusiasm for the new signing, stating that Swinkels is a young centre-half the team has been interested in acquiring all summer.
