Guardiola stated, "I'm so happy he's back. I don't know how long it's been since he played 90 minutes, maybe one year, but he's so strong, so disciplined in defensive issues, an incredible threat in small spaces."
Guardiola also expressed his hope for Bobb's health and strength, saying, "Hopefully he can be healthy. All I ask for him is to be healthy and strong in his head, and I'm pretty sure he's going to help us in that position."
After breaking his leg in training just days after helping Manchester City win the 2024 FA Community Shield, Bobb has struggled to regain his form.
Norway head coach Stale Solbakken played Bobb in a central role, which he regretted.
Solbakken stated, "He was very poor in the first half, he's lacking everything. He takes too long with the ball, positions himself strangely, and doesn't press well."
Solbakken also mentioned that Bobb's poor performance was not a concern, saying, "The second half was the next weakest. I'm not wasting any energy on that. He has performed very, very well in almost every game, both further up the pitch and further out."
Bobb has made eight appearances for Manchester City this season as he tries to make his mark under Guardiola.
He is one of Guardiola's first-choice wingers and rarely plays centrally, which explains his poor form under Solbakken.
Guardiola may need to speak to Bobb about his performance to get the best out of him.
