Everton's scoring record this season is impressive, with five wins and two draws after scoring the first goal in each of their matches.
The Toffees looked comfortable for most of the first half, but they were tested when Elliot Anderson's shot was tipped away by Jordan Pickford.
However, Everton's lead was doubled in the first half's stoppage time when Thierno Barry scored his first goal for the club, striking it into the bottom corner after a pass from Iliman Ndiaye.
With this victory, Everton has moved into the top five of the Premier League table.
