He stated, "We went into the game with an open-minded approach, believing that we could get something out of it. The team played a fantastic match, and we deserved the three points."
Flekken also noted that Manchester City's team was a surprise, but his team had experienced a similar situation against Bayern in the Bundesliga.
He added, "We learned from that game and applied the lessons to today's match. We were brave enough to play forward and stick to our style."
The goalkeeper emphasized the importance of defensive urgency, saying, "Making those runs back, getting back, and trying to block every shot on target was crucial, especially in the second half."
Flekken also expressed his pride in the team's clean sheet, saying, "If you can grow into the match, saving one save after another, at some point you feel like 'nothing's going to happen today' and you can master every ball that comes towards your goal."
He concluded, "It's wonderful to have a game like this, but it was the whole team who played a terrific match, and we're delighted to take the three points home with us."
