Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim expressed disappointment after his team drew with West Ham on December 4. West Ham's perseverance paid off in the 83rd minute when midfielder Soungoutou Magassa scored an equalizing goal, securing a crucial point for the team. Amorim reflected on the game, stating that his team had moments of strong performance, but struggled to maintain consistency throughout the game.He noted that his team lost control in the first and second halves, particularly after scoring the first goal. Amorim felt that his team should have closed out the game when they had the opportunity, but ultimately allowed West Ham to stay in the match.

Amorim also acknowledged that his team was aware of the potential problems posed by set pieces due to the height difference between the teams. However, he believed his team could have maintained control and secured the win, but ultimately lost two points.
