According to reports, Amorim had a stern conversation with Ugarte in a team meeting, which caused a stir among the squad as players were reminded of the high standards Amorim demands.
During the same meeting, Amorim also warned Alejandro Garnacho that he would need a good agent to secure a transfer in the summer, which ultimately led to Garnacho's move to Chelsea.
Former United defender Gary Neville has also weighed in on the situation, suggesting that Ugarte is not good enough for the team and that Amorim is not a fan of the playmaker.
Neville stated that Amorim has never fully trusted Ugarte and has instead opted for other midfield options such as Casemiro and Fernandes.
Amorim's midfield strategy has been questioned, with Neville suggesting that the constant changes are a sign of uncertainty.
