Porter is now 17 and has become the youngest player to make a full debut for Arsenal. He reflected on his first game, saying: "At first, it was like: 'Wow, I'm actually going to play in front of 60,000 at the Emirates.' But once you get five minutes into the game, you're absolutely fine."
He continued, "It was special because hearing fans wanting to help you and singing your name, it's a surreal feeling. It's probably one of the best feelings you can ever get. It allows you to be yourself and play freely, knowing that everyone wants you to succeed and wants you to be a history maker."
Porter also shared his thoughts on playing alongside experienced players like Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka: "It was very surreal because watching them on TV for years and then sharing the same pitch with them. It's just very special."
After signing his professional contract, Porter expressed his gratitude to the club's staff for their support: "The people around the club are great with helping you with on and off the pitch issues and just helping you improve every day as a person and as a player."
Porter's goals for the upcoming season include playing as much football as possible, representing England in various age groups, and potentially earning a spot in the first team.
