Wheatley will join the Cobblers, as Northampton Town is nicknamed, for the upcoming season.

Northampton's head coach, Kevin Nolan, is excited about the new addition to the team. He believes that Wheatley has the skills and abilities to make a positive contribution to the team.

Wheatley has already gained experience playing in the Premier League with Manchester United, and has also had a previous loan stint with Walsall in the second half of last season.
