Manager Thomas Frank has expressed concerns about the increasing number of injuries and has suggested that the football calendar is becoming too demanding. He has proposed shortening the EFL Cup to reduce the number of games teams have to play.
Frank believes that having only one semi-final would give smaller clubs a better chance to compete against larger teams and would also alleviate some of the pressure on players. He also thinks that the current system is flawed and that the Premier League should reconsider how it pays out money to the EFL.
