Lyon is likely to sell Cherki in the summer due to financial difficulties. During the Ligue 1 Team of the Season ceremony, Cherki was asked about playing with his fellow PSG players who were also honoured. He replied, "Yes, absolutely, I know them all. Ousmane and Bradley are good friends of mine. When you have good chemistry on the pitch, it shows off the pitch too."
When asked if he was hinting at a move to PSG, Cherki smiled and said, "I don't know."
