Talks between Fernandes' agent, Miguel Pinho, and Al-Hilal officials took place at a hotel in Riyadh, lasting late into the night.
Al-Hilal is reportedly offering a three-year contract worth a significant amount, with the total deal valued at £200 million.
The Saudi club is also willing to pay Manchester United £100 million for Fernandes, who is the team's captain.
