Liverpool is waiting to hear from FIFA regarding the release of Mohamed Salah to Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations campaign. Egypt's tournament preparations are set to begin on Wednesday with a training camp, followed by a friendly match against Nigeria on December 10.

Liverpool is holding out hope that Salah will not be released until after the Premier League match against Brighton on December 13.

However, FIFA is expected to require players to be released two weeks prior to the tournament, which would be this Sunday.
