Kourouma is a 16-year-old defender who has been compared to another talented young player, Lamine Yamal, due to his promising skills. He is also the younger brother of Ilaix Moriba, a former Barcelona player who currently plays for Celta Vigo.
In addition to Kourouma, two other young players have also signed new contracts with the team. Jofre Torrents, a left-back, and Brian Farinas, a midfielder, have both committed to staying with Barcelona until 2028.
